Head of Sales

Job Description:

This diverse role will work directly with AdhereTech’s leaders of the business team, particularly the Head of Product and Strategy. We are looking for a motivated, hard-working and thoughtful sales professional, ideally someone who has previously built and managed sales pipelines & process-oriented business development strategies in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who designed a similar process for other growth-stage healthcare companies and has a deep understanding of the enterprise sales cycle in the healthcare space.

AdhereTech already works with many top pharma companies and Fortune 500 healthcare firms. The Head of Sales will ultimately be responsible for driving revenue and growth. This will be a very hands-on role, with a focus not only on building an enterprise sales process specifically designed for healthcare, but also executing on it. As the business continues to grow, this role will eventually be responsible for building out and managing a sales team focused on identifying, cultivating, and closing prospects - with support from AdhereTech’s marketing, account management, and customer success teams. As with any growth stage firm, the role will expand and evolve over time. Most of AdhereTech's key decisions are made as a team, and this role will have a real influence on the direction of the company.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement the sales strategy to consistently meet or exceed sales goals for the team
  • Build out the enterprise sales function at AdhereTech, after learning about the the current CRM tools, sales process, and pipeline
  • Manage the entire end-to-end sales & business development process, from lead generation all the way to closing deals with Fortune 500 healthcare companies
  • Develop processes to measure, manage, forecast, and drive all areas of the sales cycle
  • Collaborate with AdhereTech leadership to create sales goals and key metrics to track
  • Co-lead sales meetings with Fortune 500 customers and lead conversations and WebEx presentations with potential customers as well
  • Work cross-functionally within AdhereTech to develop go-to-market strategies for new prospective revenue streams
  • Iterate on messaging and sales collateral to articulate AdhereTech’s story and product solutions in a clear, compelling, and consistent way, partnering closely with Marketing, Product, Data, and Operational teams
  • Translate customer feedback and industry insights into value creation opportunities, and then drive cross-functional initiatives to build these actionable solutions

 

Qualifications:

  • A self-driven and analytical sales leader
  • 5-10+ years of sales experience, ideally with 2+ years selling B2B enterprise technology solutions (preferably in the healthcare space)
  • Experience building and managing a sales process at a growth-stage healthcare firm a big plus
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales quotas
  • A deep understanding of the enterprise sales process at pharma, pharmacies, CROs, or PBM’s
  • Proven success navigating large organizations and ability to quickly identify the decision makers and decision-making process, as well as experience working closely with legal and procurement to establish long term relationships
  • Proven ability to build and scale a diverse sales organization
  • Strong communication, speaking and presentation skills
